Awful rubbing sounds like its coming from driver's side front wheel area

2009 mustang GT, 112,000 miles but has been well maintained, 5 speed manual transmission, 4.6 liter. At first I thought it was coming from the front passenger side wheel. Replaced the wheel bearing assembly and a fairly worn tie rod. Neither helped at all. The sound is what you'd expect to hear from a rubber-on-rubber sort of situation. It seems to begin once the engine warms up a little, or once I break, say 20 mph. And once it starts, it doesn't stop. The sound becomes more intense and loud the faster I go, then it quiets when I slow down. Also, it seems to get worse (louder) when I swerve to the right, and better (more quiet and maybe even silent) when I swerve to the left. I'm at my wits end with this thing, man. Can't seem to chase it down. Any ideas at all??
