I just bought use draglites 15x10 51 offset 7.5 backspace. Are these correct for my 1996 gt. Can i run a 10" slick with stock ride hieght? I have have drag launch springs i bought for the car but haven't put on yet. I think they will lower the car 1.5" will i then have a tire clearence problem? any help would be appricated.

A mock-up will help. Tape a piece of string to the inner lip of the fender, and have it hang down the front of the rim. I'd assume at least a half an inch wider for the tire, especially for during wrinkle action and when the rear drops on launch. On my 02, 6" was the perfect backspacing for a 10" wide with 26x10 slicks, albeit I really need to roll my fenders. I believe the 94-98 8.8s were a tad bit narrower than the 99-04s, so that backspacing might work out for ya.
