Okay, so this may sound like a real bonehead move but when I pulled the belt off my engine I didn't pay attention to how the belt was routed and now I can't figure out how it goes. :nonono:

Does anyone have a diagram or can explain how it is supposed to go? It's a 89 5.0L. AC delete, no smog, electric fan. It has pulleys in the upper left (Alternator and tensioner), upper right (power steering pump), center (water pump), and lower (crank). Help please?

I think a google search just answered my question.... Here it is in case anyone else would like to keep for their own sake. Thanks guys!

dont know what the hell thats a pic of????????

if you have a/c and smog pump.

belt goes from alternator, down to smog pump.
from smog pump to top side of water pump
around water pump and down to crank pulley
around crank pulley over to pwer steering and up to a/c
and back to alternator.

that link was supposed to be the belt route for a 5.0 explorer. The only difference between it and what you explained was the order of the crank and water pump. The link shows (starting at the alternator) the crank pulley first and then the water pump. Seems to me I might remember the belt going from the alt to the water pump because they got realy close by the tensioner.....
