I just had my Vortech SQ serviced. After reinstalling, i noticed the Vortech belt tensioner was not on the belt, flush. So i put a couple of washers to bring out the pulley a little and now it looks aligned. After starting the car, i see that the belt is still pulling towards the engine, at the pulley. After closer examination of the belt tension pulley, the pulley is not aligned parallel with the belt. It's slightly twisted counterclockwise.

Would replacing the pulley fix this? Is there another brand pulley that would fix this?

post some pics of the engine
If the pulleys aligned before you serviced the head unit thenb I would guess the problem is either
  • head unit not properly installed
  • Head unit pulley not fully seated
