Belt Squeal

I have been having a squel coming from the Sepentine belt area. I am not sure if its the belt or one of the pulleys. Is there an easy way to find out? Or do i have to replace things one at a time.

Do any of the pulleys have bearings?

A thing to note is that there is no noise (squeal) at idel, only when reved or when accelerating. The car is a 1999 GT Automatic.
ANy suggestions would be appreciated.

It's the Belt tensioner, You can get a Steel replacement at Autozone.

Do I need the pulley of the tensioner or the whole unit?

Yuck, most squeals are at idle. You should just claim the screech is your Paxton or Vortech. Or better yet, your tri-pack of Turbonators.

I had a similar problem. All I had ended up doing was cleaning the surfaces of all of the pulleys with a scouring pad, and popped on a Gatorback. No more squeal for me. However, the gatorback gave me a neat supercharger hum

I have the smae type deal on my 98 when i shift gears it is kinda cool cuz it sqeals and kinda sounds like a blow off valve!
