Best way to clean 4.6L DOHC upper and lower intake manifolds?

Hey All,
I'm rebuilding an 03 Marauder 4.6L DOHC engine...putting it back together now. The two intake manifolds are DIRTY. I've gone at the upper with engine degreaser and wire brush with some success...slow going. The lower manifold "runners" , well, I'm not sure how the heck to clean those.
I called a local machine shop and they said their hot solvent tank wouldn't do it.
Ideas??

Im not too familiar with Marauder intakes but Im guessing they're plastic? The machine shop probably thinks that they will damage it. Honestly all I can think of it soaking the living sh!t out of with brake/carb cleaner, then using some high-pressure water.

To be honest, I'd just buy a brand new piece for $180

Use CRC throttle body and air intake cleaner. It's almost identical to the BG product I use at work, and if it's not dissolving BMW's delicate plastics, it's damned sure not going to hurt Ford's.

Simple Green or some orange something cleaner from the Dollar Store come in plastic containers and are very strong.
Before using any cleaner, read to make sure there is no warning about aluminum.
