Black Chrome and Wheel Replica wheels

Does anyone have experience with caring for Black Chrome on wheels? I was told that, unlike regular chrome, they CANNOT be polished or waxed or the finish will be damaged. Only hand washed with soap and water.

Also, how is the quality of Wheel Replica wheels. Their prices are a little on the cheap side and I know one does get what one pays for in most case. I REALLY like the looks of the black chrome FR500 wheels, but don't want to be disappointed with the quality.

Any input would greatly appreciated.

I know for a fact that Rev Wheel finishes don't hold up well with winter chemicals... No experience with Wheel Replicas or black chrome...sorry.
