Block Question

I have a few questions about building my engine. I have a 2009 GT/CS which will become my project. I'm almost ready to start building my car up, and I want an all around great performance road car - power, handling, braking, etc. I would like to build a bulletproof engine that ends up with around 550-600 HP, giving me at least 500 RWHP. Will my stock 4.6 hold up for this HP rating with forged internals or do I need to purchase a new high performance block? I don't know enough about the specs and capabilities of the stock block vs a HP block. And if my stock block is okay for this build, once forged internals are added, what would be the weakest link in the engine after that? In other words - what would normally fail first, if it's not a rod or piston?
Thanks for any advice and any recommendations would be great.
