Getting ready to do some floor rust repair sections.I am concerned that if I cut out one half of the floor at one time & do a half floor pan replacement that the body could flex/move around & ruin my perfect body lines & gaps.My rust areas are not that big & am leaning toward just cutting sections out one at a time.I did get the one piece seat base & the conv. underside sheetmetal for my 66 coupe.Looking forward to your input. Thanks, tom south florida.

two ways to go here;

1: do as you suggest, cut out small areas at a time

2: weld in some bracing tubes to make sure the body does not flex and cut out the entire floor and replace it.

Place it on stands ,under the front and rear torque boxes ,place stands at the front of the frame rails and end of rear frame rails ,make sure it is level front to back and side to side ,then replace the floors . If you are going to remove one whole side i would just replace the full floor it will save a lot of time and work
