after all my valve train noise troubles, i decided to try some things to put my mind at ease.

first, i did a compression check, and wound up with 165-175 on all cylinders. no trouble there.

then, my good friend supplied me with a bore scope, so i could check for any evidence of piston/valve interference. the bore scope showed no evidence of it at all. as a matter of fact, i got to see how nice the pistons still looked! neat tool. it was amazing how sharply i could see the piston notches.

so, strike 25 or so. i just keep swinging, and coming up with nothing. but, i am sure it's not p/v or bent/unseated valves.
