OK here's the deal --- when I bought the car it had a Borla cat-back with side exit exhaust installed.I really like it but it's gotta be somewhat restrictive.
It's only a little over a year old and I'd rather not replace the entire exhaust, besides that would mean I'd have to redo the body kit for rear exit.
Would headers help?
Or is there another solution without replacing the entire exhaust?

If it were me, since I am partial to the Borla side exhaust, I would add long tube headers and move on to other mods. You can't hardly beat Borla quality IMO. Don't waste your money on the FRPP shortie headers like I did. If your gonna bleed putting them on, might as well get some results.

As prsrizdgt said, Borla are really great, from your sig i can see that you seem stock before the borla wich is your problem the cats system on the mustang is highly restrictive, it's really up to you personnaly i would keep the header but get a Magnaflow x pipe with or without cats (i would take with cat if i had the monney to stay street legal)
