1992 GT 5.0 Kenny Bell forced induction.
I am on the 4th broken ac pump pulley and ready to pull my hair out. Please give me your thoughts. The last compressor change out included a new receiver, condenser, orifice valve and flushed evaporator. Ten oz of oil was added to the system and charged with 32oz of r134 after pulling a deep vacuum for an hour.
I know the quick answer is,"take to a professional" but I am determined to correct this myself. One more thing I noted on the last compressor install was that after charging the compressor it did not cycle on and off. It ran full time engaged. I know this is not normal but what would cause the pulley to break from it's hub four separate times?
