My amps were bad in my 03 mustang vert 460 so I replaced the head unit with a Pioneer, 14w rms, 50 max and want a little more power. I replaced the 5x7 and 6.5 with aftermarkets and bypassed the mach altogether. I was wondering if an amp will handle the replacement speakers wired together with the stock mock 460 tweeters or if the head unit will do it. Ive read so many different things about th ohm on the factory speakers thats its confusing.

I'd recommend getting a 4 channel amp, run your 5x7 and 6.5's off of that, and forget the tweeters.

Alternatively, send the front speakers back (if you can) and purchase a set of components for up front. It will come with the crossovers to split the signal to the mid in the door and tweeter.
