I have a 302 backed with a C4 trans, the trans itself is stock. Engine is mild, see specs in my sig. When the transmission is warm and I am coming to a stop or accelerating I hear a nasty rubbing sound coming from the transmission. To me it sounds like the bands. Which I have adjusted multiple times to no affect. (Front to 10 ft/lbs. and backed off 1 1/2 turn, rear 10 ft/lbs. and backed off 3).

Today I dropped the pan and found no metal filings but the transmission fluid was starting to brown. I cleaned everything up and reassembled with new fluid and the problem is still there.

I for the life of me can't think of anything inside the transmission that would cause these types of sounds. Worn bands maybe? The sound doesn't happen all the time, just when warm and when decelerating/accelerating.

Help is always appreciated =)
