Can I put 255's on 17 X 8.5 Y2k's?

255's on 17 X 8.5's. Anyone know if I can do this and if there are any problems accociated with going this size on an 8.5 Got my new Y2K's and when I dismounted my old tires at skool to swap, I found 2 slits in the sidewall on 2 of my 245's. Hoping to go wider this time. Just in the rear.

No, shouldn't be any problems, go for it. I have 275 DR's on 8" rims and they fit fine, you won't have any problemswith 255's on 8.5" wheel.
