cobra front brakes- two black circles?

When I bought and installed my 10th anniversary brakes the new pads had those 2 shiny black circles per pad, now im doing the brake pads and my new ceramic pads dont? You can see the ugly metal fastener. Am I supposed to take the circles off the old pads? were the new pads supposed to come with these? Sorry for the stupid question. Thanks

I've bought 3~ sets of front pads, never seen a set of the caps.

So ya, you don't get them with pads...

Thats ugly. Not that its that noticeable, but I notice it, and why wouldnt they just include them. Anyways, thanks for the info
