I drove the car for about 6 to 8 months maybe. I can change from 87 to 93 octane tune and it goes away, but if I idol the car for a little bit about 5 minutes the check engine light comes on with that code, then sometimes out of the blue. The code that comes up is P2240.When did this occur? Was right after the long tubes?
Bama American Muscle, Yes I can but it would have to be this weekend of the 23rd & 24th.Who tuned it? Can you pull the both rear o2's and see if there is carbon build up
I pulled both rear o2 sensors and they where both black. The SCT 4x handheld said its the 02 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit/Open Bank 2 Sensor 1. I think its saying one of the upstream sensors. I'll pull them next weekend the 7th or 8th of October. I'm a truck driver, sorry for the delay on my response, thanks for your patience.Ok, pullem and let me know if one is more carbon soaked then the other
The 4 O2s are numbered 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, & 2-2. First # is Bank, 1 is RH (passenger). Second # is sensor position, 1 being upstream, 2 being downstream. impI pulled both rear o2 sensors and they where both black.
