Conv Sun Visors

Hi,
I have a 95 GT Conv that the top hardly ever goes up. My problem is the sun visors are worn extremely by the wind and I was wondering if there was anyway of fixing them? Only because I'm having a hard time finding a pair to buy. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have a 94 with the same problem. I'm on my second pair and they are falling apart. I've been trying to find a way to make them wind/sun proof. No ideas yet

The only thing I could find at 50resto was for 93' and before.

I wunder if it would be possible to use a fiber glass resin to cover the bad area at the top and fill, sand and paint?? Think this is possible?

No, really why are these that hard to find? I have been searching the net literally all night and have only found one set. The problem with those was that one of the vanity mirrors was broken... Maybe I'll have to get those, or does anyone have a set they want to sell? I know I shouldn't ask this here but it is driving me crazy!!

even if you do find a set they're rediculously expensive- if not off ebay or the classifieds

i didn't even think about having them recovered, i think an apholstery shop could do something for you

The funny thing is that you can find just about any other part for the mustang, you would think that these would be a dime a dozen, or is everyone just junk'n them or are they all junk!

They are hard to find and are going to cost some $$$$.. the fact that they are made out of cardboard and glue is even worse :/

www.stangparts.com has some used ones but only have a lighted mirror on one side and limited supply on all of them.

What pisses me off is latemodel restoration supply does not have them, what kind of restoration joint is that

Take them to a upolestry shop & have them remove all the material, and add new material. i assume it's just the cloth, not the actual backing that is bad, right?

I'm right in the middle of attempting to convert some coupe visors (easy to find off of eBay for cheap) to convertible ones.

So far so good. I may try to finish them up tomorrow. I'll let ya'll know how it goes either tomorrow or this coming weekend.
