Engine convertible/explorer intake hood clearance

Is anyone running an explorer intake with a 3/8 spacer in an 89 or similar convertible? I believe the vert motor mounts are 1/2" lower correct? I was able to roughly measure mine with clay/tinfoil and it looks like it will fit the stock hood with insulation but it's close, would like an actual installed experience. Just trying to clear some valve covers.

I had an explorer intake on my 89 hatch with a spacer, can't recall, I think it was a 1/2", I'll check, I still have it.

3/8” spacer with a cobra intake and it cleared the stock hood abd hood blanket fine in my hatchback
