Convertible Top Differences 83-90 vs 91-93?

Does anyone know the specific differences to spot to tell the difference between 83-90 and 91-93 tops? I have an 1988 convertible, but I believe that it has a 91-93 frame on it. The rear bow for the top has a plastic cover that is screwed on underneath the top rather than using the rear strip of material that you staple on and then screw on at the ends.

This won't help much, but the earlier style frames didn't go down all the way into the top well and the newer ones went down flush.
