svttech76 said:one last thing if you take the cap off the engine while hot make sure you use a rag around the cap and do it very slow to release the presure . you don't want to get hit with superheated coolant.
mrvax said:VERY CAREFULL! My dad was a mechanic and did it this way once. He used the rag to just release some pressure (overheating) and the entire radiator cap just blew off. He was burned bad and needed hospital.
