Thank you for the help... As I said in the above post though, I could not get any metrics to thread.. Every bolt I tried would stop threading at about half a turn, until the #12-24 screw........So I have a older style factory starter that I upgraded to a mini-starter. From what I can tell with a thread gauge it’s a M6 with a 1.25 thread pitch.
It is now.....It's a coarse thread 1/4 inch thread I believe
Thanks for the explanation on the tab..... I like to put things back together the way they are supposed to go, unfortunately this part of the job didn't quite go that way......Not sure what happened to the original bolt.. Part of the car was taken apart before I got it........The tab is there for you to use if you need it
With it, you can force and hold the cable at 90 degrees if you need to, for headers or whatever reason
However
That cable is wrong for your old starter application
Those old ones never used the tab
you got it..... And a pastry for BentleyYou're still buy'n coffee in the morning
Just don't tell my EX... She would enjoy it way too much.....Priceless!!
