couple of seconds of gray smoke

I just rebuild my engine and I had this problem before that gray smoke comes out SOMETIMES when I start the engine or when I give all the juice a big cloud of gray smoke comes out, then ill get to a stop and do it again and it will stop, theres no actually pattern on this. I rebuild the block 3months ago and changed the heads for some gt40p with a valve job, it did the same thing with the other heads so I just dont what to do, I been riding the bus for a while due to being in california cops and highway patrols looking for a excuse to pull you over and my stang does not have smog pump, cats, mild cam, so it will be a big ticket

I think this is normal for the first few hundred miles, because the rings are not seated yet... just drive it for a couple hundred miles varying the rpm and then if it continues to do it then you might have a ring problem. But for now, it is perfectly normal.
