Just looking for a sanity check. I hope that's all I need. I'm curious about how far the crank pulley should go onto the crankshaft when it's installed all the way.

When I first remove the crank pulley for my engine/clutch/suspension project this is what the end of the crankshaft looked like (taking note of thickness of the sealant by the keyway) -

Using some measurements I figured that gap shown below should be 3mm for my engine. Does that all sound about right...based on what I started with?

s always, I look forward to any help that can be offered.

i didnt measure ****. i put it in 5th gear, had the emergency brake set and tightened the crank bolt until the balancer bottomed out... no problems. just make sure you clean all of that old sealant off. i didnt even bother to put more sealant on it either... it doesnt leak.

the only issue i ran in to was getting the bolt started. i had to give the balancer a couple of love taps to get it far enough on the crank to thread.
