So I went to swap in a short throw shifter into my car. Got all the stuff off except the actual shifter assembly. I was looking at it and just was thinking that something was definitely wrong. The two bolts on the assembly were easy to get to but the right two where actually under the body of the car. Put the car on a lift today and its definitely crooked with the tail of it pointing to the right rear tire. It Is bolted flush with the engine so what I'm trying to figure is if there is a way to adjust this. Appears that its off by no more than an inch. Oh this is on a 98 Mustang Gt.

Looked around the engine today. Looks like the oil pan is almost sitting on the steering rack on the passenger side. Looking at mounts now. How hard is it to get to these things? I couldn't see much just by looking under it on flat ground but I take that as there ain't a whole lot of room to work.
