Cruise switch help

Here are the instructions out of a 93 Ford service manual. I assume that the same will work for you. 1. Disconnect positive battery cable and wait one minute for the backup positive supply to be depleted. 2. Remove four nut and washer assemblies retaining air bag module to steering wheel. 3. Disconnect air bag electrical connector from clockspring contact connector. 4. Remove air bag from steering wheel. 5. Pry off speed control switch bezels at side skirts. 6. Remove bezels from steering wheel. 7. Remove four phillips head screws from speed control switch assemblies. 8. Remove wire organized from steering wheel. 9. Disconnect speed control and horn switch connectors. 10. Remove speed control switches and wiring assembly.
I have done this before and found that its the easiest way. You can get the trim bezels off the switches without removing the air bag and have access to the switch mounting screws. But you cannot unplug the switches without removing the air bag. Hope this helps..........
