So if anyone saw my thread a few weeks ago I mistakenly used an sn95 bellhousing on my fox.

My question now is, what is the length or depth of a regular fox bellhousing because at this point I'm not sure if this bellhousing on my car is from an sn95 or a fox. Thanks for any help

I wasn't able to find the dimensions but an easy way to tell is the sn95 bell housing has a vent sort of thing on top of it which I could feel when reaching in through the engine bay

The easiest way to tell the difference between a stock fox and SN95 bell housing without measuring the depth is the position of the clutch fork. The fork on the fox housing is closer to 9 o'clock while the SN95 housing is closer to 7 o'clock. That, in addition to the SN95 EGR feed tube on the passenger side, is the only other reason manufacturers make different headers for fox and SN95 5.0 cars.

You could also look at the ford Engineering part number stamped on the side of the bellhousing.
