Does this happen to anyone else.... idle

Hi guys,
I have a 90 GT that i just installed the track heat top end kit and supporting mods. Not yet tuned. After I did this i can get her to idle at 1050-1100 from a cold start after searching for few seconds, but once I start driving around and sit at a light she always jumps to 1500. Happening to anyone else or do I really need to tune my combo?

A tune should help. But ive come to except the fact modded fox bodies just dont idle well. I had my car tuned at Anderson and for 4 months it idled like a brand new car. But its actin up again!!!

The first two posts contain all the updates to the fixes. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.
