Does this sound like I need a new fuel pump?

I just ran a code scan and came up with this code 543. In the manual it says: Fuel Pump (FP) circuit open connection- Electronic Control Assemble (ECA) to battery.

Does this mean that my fuel pump is going bad or what? Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to all that help out!

Well is it cranking ok? Is it sputtering? What is it doing? More info please.

listen for a sort of droaning noise from your rear when your drivin, fold your back seats down and maybe you can hear it, or you can listen from outside your car. if it is making noise like whining it could possibly be your fuel pump, that is what mine did.
