Driving in 4th gear at 3,000 RPM at Highway Speeds

Certainly wouldn't hurt the tranny, you could run 1st gear at redline for a year and it shouldn't hurt it, in my experience anyways. Powershifting and running a stock shifter are the biggest concerns for a tranny. And unless your car has suffered terrible abuse, or is on its last leg, the engine should be fine, in fact something like that is probably good for it, I'm assuming you don't blow the carbon out often considering you even posted this.

Anyways at least once per week I recommend revvin' a stang a little, they need it. Once in a while I just run fourth to 6k, hit fifth and back off.
