Driving in 4th gear at 3,000 RPM at Highway Speeds

Too much traffic around here to use my cruise control but I hammer around on the highway at high RPMS in 3rd and 4th gear all the time.

Not a problem. People with 4.10+ gears will do 3K on a highway trip in overdrive.

I got 4.30's in my 03 cobra and even with the 6 speed, it still turns 2850 rpm at 80 mph and that's where I drive it most of the time.

totally random, but my boat has a 460 in it that cruises at 4,800rpm for a few hours at a time at WOT. Engine was lifted straight out of a truck. No cool parts on it other than a high volume oil pump.

Certainly wouldn't hurt the tranny, you could run 1st gear at redline for a year and it shouldn't hurt it, in my experience anyways. Powershifting and running a stock shifter are the biggest concerns for a tranny. And unless your car has suffered terrible abuse, or is on its last leg, the engine should be fine, in fact something like that is probably good for it, I'm assuming you don't blow the carbon out often considering you even posted this.

Anyways at least once per week I recommend revvin' a stang a little, they need it. Once in a while I just run fourth to 6k, hit fifth and back off.

I drive at 3000 all the time. I just like the drone of the exhaust and the power is ready to go. Probably the only damage would be to gas mileage.
