So how does it feel to cheat death?
Feels like I'm in Final Destination 2021.
So how does it feel to cheat death?
Well at least its nothing bad, see ya when you have time to waste with us again.Hey guys. I'm stepping away for a minute. Lots of stuff going on. Nothing bad at all. Dusty is on the back burner for possibly the summer.
And why wouldn't they admire it?
it's a spiffy little fox.
it could be a star vehicle in a movie. I'd call it 'Fast And Fun to Drive'.
How long did he have a weird grin on his face?My father inlaw drove it today. An around the corner trip turned into a 10 mile ride. I'd call it " gone for 30 minutes "
Be advised that the engine compartment in that old Fairlane is the same size as the one in an Old Falcon. In other words, there are big assed shock towers hogging up available space. Obviously, you can do what our buddy Drew did to his PBF to make room for the engine and it’s related accessories, as well as being able update the steering and brakes, but it wasn’t cheap compared to upgrading what you have. And If you want any size tire bigger than a 245 in back, better be prepared to get out your sawzall, because the existing rear wheel tubs are tiny. Not much action here today, other than our local car thief....and the fast typing guy that will need to tune this pig.
So....I got a chance to buy a friend of mine car. He passed away a couple years ago and his car is in the hands of another friend of mine. The plan would be to take the turbo set up, tko600, engine harness, and mspnp2 from Dusty and transplant it. The IRS, front o4 cobra molded bumper, rear bumper w/ saleen kit, cobra exhaust, and driveshaft would all get sold. My spare 306, t5, and carbed intake would go in Dusty with a different driveshaft, fox length 5 lug axles, and disc brakes.
This is the model of car. ( not actual picture ). It is black w/red in the chrome side molding. Currently it had weld wheels on it. Paint isn't as pretty but it's a well maintained factory black w/ red interior.
I had a chance to buy this car for 1k about 15 years ago but chose a 67 buick electra " deuce and a quarter ' instead. I may be able to get it for under 5k.
Oh...Dusty would go to the ole lady. She's more fond of the traditional style fox. Basic LX bumpers, camshaft, welds, and 2.5 tail pipes.
What do y'all think ?
Send me a PM if you're interested in stuff. Not guaranteed to sell until I get the car and title.
Is it a Sport Coupe?
I had a 65 Fairlane Sport Coupe.
Yeah, those wheel wells are tiny.

If its a Hardtop car like the one pictured, then I’d be all for it. In car history, a T-bolt Fairlane was one nasty sonofabitch.
*Personally, I believe that I have the best of both worlds…..A car that “looks” like it came from that era, that i can easily bolt on brakes, steering, and suspension from a car that was 30 years newer all with an existing engine compartment that’ll accommodate a Boss 429.
