I started working on the driver's side ( now that I almost know what I'm doing ). Hope to get all the foam sprayed so I can start shaping it tomorrow.

I've made up my mind that I will make the side skirts and " stylish " fender flares. The flares I plan to make will go around the complete wheel opening. I just don't like the look of flares that start and end at the molding. That will be a project for the winter or next year.

I want to do some more bodywork. Also decided to paint the front and rear cabernet red 2H ( the factory color ). The moldings will be sem trim black...along with the fog light bezels. Wing will probably stay black along with the hood for a while. Found this company that has good reviews.

This seems like a decent kit for about 100 buckaroos. What do ya think @Davedacarpainter ? Or anyone else that would give some input on this situation.

This process would go a little better if I had a way to stick the foil to the car. I wouldn't want to use 3m spray adhesive because it seems like a pita to remove before painting. Almost thought about spreading honey on it.... but that may jack something up. I'd need something that dissolves with water and doesn't leave residue or mess with plastic or painted surfaces.

I'm on version 2.1 on the driver's side. The first attempt pulled the foil away from the body and didn't look usable without working the back of the mold. Didn't want to do that so....

Ok.... so I'm giving up on this method. For some reason the drivers side keeps swelling up on the back side. The passenger side gave me very nice consistancy that allowed me to sand the foam down to 1/4 inch. The drivers side swelled about an inch away from the car. I pulled the foil off and found gaping pockets behind it. Everytime this happens it sets me back a full day. Gotta move on to something else. I'll come back to these corners eventually over the next few years. Lol

I'd rather not put a bullet in my head...

The DB9 is sweet...on the outside. I'm kinda disappointed looking at the interior. First...are those the seat adjustment buttons on the tunnel? I guess because the e brake is in the way of where it makes sense to put them. And the dash. Looks straight outta a Jetta. Looks very plasticy. My 35k Ram has a plasticy dash. I would expect a Aston Martin to have leather...or at least look like it cost $150k.
Those letters are cool as hell. I just read yesterday a letter from Einstein to his sister in 1923 already warning of the Nazis and anti-semitism, that's before the Nazi's took power!

So much that when I was a kid and saw Jaws, the first thing I did was go to the library (early 80's kids, no google) and researched the USS Indianapolis after Robert Shaw's monologue about "those black souless eyes."

That is looking mean! Personally, I would paint the intercooler black for the stealth look, but that's just me. You could always wrap it in LED lights and draw more attention to it.

The seats would look great in a prno red interior though. The learjet is very soft but looks cheap like vinyl. It's a very comfy car... but the placement of the e brake and seat adjusters makes it weird.

It's not a very good color selection... inside or out.

He funded a bunch of scientific, engineering, and educational projects. Not sure if he was involved in the Manhattan project per se, we haven't found any info confirming that.

I actually have been thinking about putting a green led strip above it behind the bumper. All my gauges light up green inside.

I pulled the car off the ramps and went for a joy ride. This car is wonderful. I made one mistake....

The hood pins weren't in. When I started driving I was clueless... even after I saw the hood rise a little. Had my son in the passenger seat and did a pull.... thank god the hood didn't fly up. The safety latch caught it. The pin clips are lost... could only find one. Apparently they slid off the car. We managed to find one in the road.

A quick trip to tractor supply rectified that situation.

Before the ride I came across a guy named Rudy on CL. He's got a bunch of mustang stuff for sale... brand new in the box. The set of tails and headlights peaked my interest. After a quick chat we settled on a 100 bucks and my older msd 7al2 ( that was also new in the box ). I ended up giving him my old msd 6al that was in my convertible. There's no need for that stuff.

Finally got rid of that cracked driver's side taillight.... and it only cost me 50 bucks per side. " Today was a good day ", in my Ice Cube voice.

Nice find. I routinely browse the ads on the Corral and Craigslist. That's how I end up with so much crap in the garage. Hopefully most of this junk WILL get used. I put the Aerolatches on my car. Can't lose them and you can tell immediately if they are not latched. I think @CarMichael Angelo just bought some too. Well worth the money imho.
