Hey guys just got back from the dyno, wanted to get some baseline number. 1989 GT, Shory headers, Dr. Gas X pipe, Flowmaster catback, cold air kit, timing bump. 198hp 278tq.
I honestly would not do pullies. I have had mine on for two years and never really saw any difference. I am taking mine off this week cause they are causing problems with my idle and amps.
They only affect the amps if if have the orginal alternator. I have had mine on for years never had/have any issues. I changed alternator to '96 stang for better charging in general.
Nice numbers, they were 225HP factory, so you didn't see too much lose.
I would do pullies. We installed them on my buddies 95GT and felt a difference. Most cars see 5-10RWHP. I would do what Grover Dill suggested on the E-fan. That frees up HP and rotating mass.
