Previous owner told me that the e-brake sticks, and needs to be replaced.

I'm doing my drums this afternoon, and i'm wondering if i can lub the e-brake somehow, so it won't stick.

Should i just drench it in brake cleaner and clean it off, or put some graphit lub in the housing or something??

well you can lube the cable at the handle and at the brake itself. Make sure you clean the backing plate and all the hardware. Make sure you put some grease on the spots where the shoes touch the backing plate. Replace the springs since you may have one thats not working right.
