Two thoughts:
1 he re-used 150k mile lifters and one failed.
Or
2, and most likely given track record, he over revved the motor and floated the valves and lifters.
Thanks for the reply. This block and internals had 142k when I took it out. I won’t be reusing anything. I didn’t get a chance to call SCAT or Trick Flow today. My first question for them is will the Icon -11cc pistons that are included in the stroker kit work with the 170 heads or should I piece together the rotating assembly. Worst case I purchase the Trick Flow pistons and wrist pins separately and use scat for the rest of the bottom end.
