excessive wheelhop

i was out playin in the rain the other day and i noticed that if i barely break the tires loose they will hop like crazy. my buddy said its the quad shocks. is that right?

The cause is mainly your lower control arms they flex way too much. the quad shocks help get rid of some wheel hop but with their age they work as well.

Worn out control arm bushings will exacerbate the problem, also.

yea my suspension is just so outta whack. so some new bushings and quad socks wud be heading in the right direction

i'd say just buy new lower and upper control arms, they come with busings

ya i would atleast get a GOOD QUALITY set of LCA's dont skimp out on suspension parts!!! and stay away from granatelli.

I had horribly borderline retarded wheelhopp, then I changed-out my upper and lower CA's (the old bushings were torn to pieces) to MM lowers and FMS uppers, and never ever experienced any kind of wheel hopp since then. The wheehopp was just as bad with or without the quad-shocks installed, before I changed-out the CA's.
