Hey, I have a BBK catted Hpipe and some Ceramic coated FMS shorty. I have a leak on the passenger side and me and my mechanic buddy know its coming from the H-pipe and Header meeting. It doesnt quite fit just right so there is a leak. Is there anything sealant wise that I could use to seal up the leak? We have tried readjusting it 2 times with no luck:( Thanks

I have heard problems with collecters not seating right w/ new h/x pipes. I would try ths first.

Don't use the stock bolts. Get brand new bolts that have the thread going up all the way to the head of the screw. This will allow you to tighten the connection more.

Any kind of sealant would be a bad idea IMO. I know that the exhaust creates backpressure, and that could in turn suck up some sealant. May not be true, but I wouldn't chance it. Sealant getting stuck in one of the exhaust valves would = teh lose!

I would try the new bolts. Then go from there. That is what I am doing when install my new x-pipe this weekend.
