Fastback title correct?

The body style is indeed in the title. Look in the vin# and for 1967 you should see an "02" as the third and fourth characters. For instance, you should see the number 7 as the first character, indicating a 1967 car. Next will be a letter that tells where the car was built, R is fopr San Jose, F is for Dearborn, and T is for Metuchen, NJ. After those two characters is the body style, 01 means coupe, 02 means fastback and 03 means convert. The next 6 digits are the cars unit number. Hope this helps! Now you owe us some pics of your new car! Jim

thank you so much for the direction. I bought the car based on the trust of a friend of mine. I'm going back home to Florida to pick the car and title up. I'll get some pics but I have to admit, there isn't much to look at, but it will give an initial starting set of pics. The car ran and the guy stripped it down to be restored. Well, he went in a different direction about 1/3 of the way through so it's sitting at my buddy's paint shop with just the frame. I will post some pics after I get back next weekend.....

Again, thank you

The fifth character of the vin is the engine. Here's the rundown on the codes for '67:
A= 289 4V
C= 289 2V
K= 289 HiPo
S= 390 4V
T= 200 1V (six cylinder)
2= 289 4V (GT350-HiPo 289)
4= 428 8V (GT500)
So you can see your '67 came from the factory with the same motor most '67's came with, a 289 with a 2 barrel carb.

sweet!! That clears it up! Here's a pic. I've got a long way to go as you can see.... :D
