Finally got pics of that 66 Stang 6 cylinder coupe with 5 lug suspension

Got em posted on my photobucket site http://s125.photobucket.com/albums/p53/baddad457/ The front spindles were taken for a conversion of a 4 lug 6 cylinder car to V8. I wanted to get a pic of the rear cover, but had no way to remove the muffler blocking it.

thats a 6 banger chunk, not doubt about that... i couldnt read the axle code, so its hard to tell what it says. is the front suspension the beefier, v8 stuff, or the puny 6 cylinder hardware?

The front suspension was robbed as I posted for a V8 conversion. If someone did swap the rear, it was done long, long ago. Everything under the rear looks orignal to me, except for the right side wheel. I figured this one may have been the "sport suspension package" for a 6 cylinder car that's mentioned in the Mustang Redbook.

looks like a light duty 6 cyl drag link in the engine bay shot.

My uncle had a 6 cyl. 1964 Fairlane that had this same rear with 5 lugs, also had 13 inch wheels. I wonder if the axles would interchange with the 6 cyl. Mustang rear?

They would be close to the same length, if not the same.
