Finally Passed Ca. Smog

No matter what I did to my 1983 5.0 liter carb'd. Mustang, it would always post CO numbers that were way too high. (6.0%, when it should be 0.99% or less)
The other numbers, HC, and NOx were always OK.
It always turns out to be the last thing you do that fixes it.(LOL)
The air injector pipe that goes between the heads at the rear of the motor was plugged up solid with carbon crud.
There was no upstream air getting to the driver side head, and unburned fuel was going right out the driver side exhaust pipe.
Rodded out the crossover with a piece of speedo cable, and some Berrymans carb cleaner and the number came down to 0.58%.
I got my renewal sticker for "08", and way too much information on how emission systems work, and what the numbers mean.
I'll be doing this again in "10". but I'll know then what I'm doing, and how to fix it.
