Ok, final got to installing my Flaming River manual rack in place of my worn out Ford unit, today. Actually fit perfectly. The rack input shaft mated perfectly with the stock Ford rack coupler, a D shape type. The outer tie rod ends screwed on nicely. Bushings fit. Off to the alignment shop next.
A spin around the block feels much tighter and nicer! 12 years in the making. I remember how excited I was to find the stock Ford manual rack and intermediate shaft for $100 way back in 04 or 05 at a FFW in Florida. How time flies!
