Ford Racing Plug Wires

Do the Ford Racing plug wires fit the GT40P heads with the Ford Racing shorty headers? Will I need to put any insulation on the plug wires to keep from melting with this combo? (haven't bought the wires yet, but plan on what I need for when I put the motor back in...)

The boots are 45*. IIRC there one 1 plug that would be very close to the header. A 90* boot would be ideal but some guys have gotten creative with wrapping or re-booting that one plug.

I have the Ford Racing shorties that are made for the P heads.

The Ford racing wires didn't have the best reputation in the past. I never had any luck with them.

There are many heat sleeves and ceramic boots at Jega and Summit. I think the DEI line is what has worked so well in a car that the carb’s fuel line has to run around too near the top radiator hose, cooling neck etc. it has never vapor locked since using the heat sleeve, And I added a plug boot for the wire under the AC compressor that ends up too near the exhaust manifold for reliability..
