Which would you do and why?

Reason I'm asking is I have to get at least a rebuild and we all know how much that costs...

So I was looking into new longblocks from all the major builders and then I came across the Mach 1 engine assembly from FRPP and it's about the same cost and it comes with a warranty...

So from a technical POV which do you think is the better buy...

well the mach 1 has an aluminum motor they got their benefits and disadvantages

and well we have the good old cast iron block it to has it's benrfits and disadvantages

personally the aluminum motor will save you weight but im not that big of a fan of an aluminum motor probably cause i dont have one so i would get a rebuild done

The mach is an Iron block not aluminum like the 96-01 cobras right? And you never find stick shift mach motors(which means no forged crank or high rpms.)

From a smart checkbook standpoint Id do the 2v motor unless you are a racer and mechanic that can deal with all the complications that will arise from that swap.
