Fox Factory Setup Is A Cai

  1. So it cracks me up whenever I see a cone filter stuck on the end of the MAF in the engine compartment of a Fox. That would be a HAI (Hot Air Intake.) Looks cool. But why do people want their engines to ingest air that could easily be 50-100 degrees warmer than when it is being pulled from the fenderwell? Discuss.
  2. I have a stock airbox, with the silencer removed and a K&N panel filter. All i've ever needed.
  3. I have one temporarily until I swap my motor.
  4. The bbk fender well kit is a true cai and looks good. That is why I leave it alone.
  5. Yup, you need a shield of some sort or a fender well for cooler air :nice:
  6. Except it's metal.
  7. Yeah i slid a plastic crimp ducking over my inlet tube cause i was thinking the same thing. They've got tons of plastic tube cai on newer cars, a fox one should be made by now. Anyone know of one??
  8. Ohhhh, the butthurt you can produce with this one. Dyno-racers never think about real world conditions, they only think of the 0.25 hp they get

....with the hood open and a 15,000 CFM fan blowing on the engine bay.

  9. Same here.

  10. Because turbo

  11. I have a hard time believing the chrome costs more power than heat absorbing, turbulence causing, bellowed, black rubber and plastic. :)
And chrome looks nicer with a polished intake.
