I found a foxbody, It's a 1992 LX 5.0 (ofcourse!) hatchback rated at 225. And to top it all off, for 800 dollars
It's at a tow lot, it wasn't in an accident it was in an arrest, so I know it runs, when I get the keys made I'm going to look over the engine, hopefully the guy wasn't just about exterior looks but also cared about performance.
The front passenger light is cracked, the paint job is in pretty good condition, the rims are cobras but are in bad condition, two have cracked cobra emblems, and one has a large chip out of it. The passenger side of the bumper is missing a small piece, but shouldn't be too hard to locate. The hood looks aftermarket. The taillights are more than likely blacked out aftermarkets. The hoodpin kit has some rust on it, but that's an easy replace.
The interior is a bit mangled, tear on the driver seat, driver side rear speaker is out of the housing for some reason, the passenger side door panel has tape on it so i'll have to get a new one of those.
The only real issue (other than the headlight which didnt seem to bother the arrested guy), was that the steering column had a tach on it that was stolen out of it while it sat so the column is messed up and it might need a new ignition which will run me about 40 to 100 depending on what I need.
The reason I want it and am willing to shell out the 800 (which is a lot for a high school guy like me) is because it's 300 or so lbs lighter than my SN95, high HP rated engine, and more spacious. Oh and again, it's a hatchback!
Let me know what you guys can make of it, and please if anyone has car fax let me know so I can look into the history on it.
