Ok ok so I like toys and have always wanted to have a mini version of my car. A model or something etc etc to have and take to car shows or somethin, and I’ve been wanting a rc car or truck. Did a search and found a notch model, almost got it but did some more searching and found one. A guy on YouTube had one, told me where he got it, some rc molding guy out of Russia. The foxbody was found and I pulled the trigger not knowing anything about rc cars or how to build one, paint it etc. Picked up a rc chassis, while I waited for the body to show up. I almost got the 70mph but figured crawl before you ball, and got the 30mph to mess with and learn it and I can always upgrade to a new servo and brushless motor and bam I’m zoomin. To be honest the 30mph is fast as heck and hard to control! Anyways had to cut up the molding, paint it up, ended up adding some lights to it. Didn’t really search if some one had made this topic before but here it is.

Cool. Is it full throttle or nothing? Can you make a variable speed setup?
So this is the traxxas 4tec 2.0 awd xl5, they also have the vxl but that’s the brushless crazy fast one. Don’t know about the variable speed setup, it has a mode where you can control the speed to 50% but other wise you just have to throttle control it. I’ve already smashed into a curb lol and then the wife was like wow can I try and she sent it flying over a speed bump so I cut her off!!

What’s the wheelbase on that one?

Wonder if it will fit my old gas powered HPI?
The wheel base on this 4tec is 200mm.

So the guy I ordered it from said it fits any standard 1/10 scale with a wheel base of 255-260 and body width of 190-200 which I know the 4tec is 200 width wise. I almost picked up a nitro car but then I would have had to cut the body wherever the motor was and didn’t want to. Didn’t even want to cut the body where the posts were so I found some body post magnets and went that route to keep it clean.

Ha yeah I’m surely learning this was my first crash a burn, just a typical mustang leaving a car show, Glad there wasn’t any bystanders!

Here’s my money pit. I say that because it’s vintage and parts are expensive.

Late 90s Kyosho GP-10.

4WD, Upgraded OS CZ .12 engine with upgrades head and tuned exhaust
2-spd trans, upgraded stainless disk brake with upgrades pads. Oil filled shocks, sway bars, tires, ball bearings, one-way rear axle (limited slip basically).

Moves like hell but afraid to drive it. The old pull start cable snapped and it was $40 to find a correct replacement. Needs a new gas tank and trouble finding one
