Friend just bought an 04 C5

Well its over for me, no more bragging to him about anything. He took me for a spin last nite and even let me drive it. Its an auto with about 12k miles on it, grey exterior. I think these things are rated at 350hp but im not sure. After driving it, it sure as hell feels quicker than my gt however it feels about the same as my friends bone stock auto 2001 trans am. Are these things supposed to be that much quicker than a normal LS1 firebird/camaro? All in all its a really clean car.

Those vettes make around 288-295 being auto if its stock....they arent too hard to beat

I drove my dad's 97 to a 13.4 at 107. Nearly stock 6sp with just Magnaflow exhaust. And I was taking it easy on the launch.

Ive raced a 01 and I raced a brand new C6 (auto I think) a couple of nights ago. Beat the C6 by a fender maybe a 1/2 a car and spun badly.

my friend has an 04 C5 vert with intake exhaust and cammed and he dynoed at 404 rwhp and runs like high 12s. He is like 300+ lbs so that may be why he is so slow but he cant run at the track anymore because its a vert.

They are very nice cars though.
