Hi All,

Recently my fuel pump has started to whine. If anyone has ever owned a chevy it's the exact same sound. I'm not sure if it did it before or not, but should I be concerned? Does this mean it's getting ready to pitch the fuel pump or do they just sound like that?

Sorry to sound like such a dumbass, I'm new to the SN-95's.

Yeah, it means it's about to go tits up. Sometimes they whine for a long time before they actually die though. Cheap part, pretty long install time though.

Yep when i bought my car mine was whining so i bought a walbro 190 and chucked it on a shelf... 4 months later got stranded and kicked the tank a few times... car started up and i changed the pump the next day... Be sure to get the filler gasket also...

Just did one myself. Make sure to buy a walbro. I bought a BBK and it whined as soon as I put it in. Lasted for about 400 miles. Got a walbro 255 in there now.

The filler neck grommet will probably break when you try to take it out. 25 bucks at a ford dealer.
