Here is the deal:
I have a '68 mustang coupe with a 347 stroker in it originally paired to a worn T5 Tranny. The Rear end is a 3.91.
I upgraded the Tranny to a T5Z World Class and found that 1st gear is a noticeably longer than before. I think I had 3.35 gears in the old T5. With the new T5, first gear is a 2.95.
While the new tranny is better, the car does not pull as hard as it once did.
So, I am wondering what the best recommendation gear package would be. I am thinking of going to a 4.11 to get the old pull back.
Thoughts? What have others done with a similar combo?
