Gears for the new Mustang

It appears the 05 will have the 8.8 so can we assume that the current selection of motorsport gears will work?

Assumptions are always dangerous.

One would think that the current gears would fit, but the early data has listed the rear end for the 05 GT automatic as 3.31:1

The current GT uses 3.27:1 gears which makes you wonder why in the world they would make a new gear set that has a ratio only 1% different than the current gears.

the auto uses the 3.31 gears but the new 5 spd GT's will use 3.55's
